Minex implemented the “240L Liquid Tree” project by adapting an existing tubular photobioreactor technology for the biological capture of CO2 through the cultivation of the microalga Chlorella vulgaris.
The pilot system, with a capacity of 240 liters distributed across four interconnected modules, converts CO2 into usable biomass, positioning Minex as a company committed to innovation and climate change mitigation.
Integrated water management
At Minex we have a firm commitment to the conservation of water resources. To reduce our water footprint, we have set ambitious goals and rigorously monitor water consumption at all our work sites. These actions allow us to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize the use of this vital resource.
In addition, we promote the reuse of water in our green areas, integrating practices that maximize use and reduce waste. This comprehensive approach not only contributes to environmental sustainability, but also reinforces our commitment to operate responsibly and efficiently, protecting water for future generations.

For this reason, we have implemented routes and established strategic agreements with specialized companies to ensure the correct disposal of solid waste. These alliances allow responsible waste management, ensuring that each waste receives the appropriate treatment.
In addition, we work hand in hand with recyclers and promote initiatives that promote waste reduction, always seeking to give them a second use. Through these actions, we contribute to the circular economy and minimize our environmental impact, reaffirming our commitment to a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Reforestation
BancO2 Program
Minex joins the fight against deforestation through the BancO2 Program, which focuses on the preservation of ecosystems in the Norte de Santander region.
Under the payment for environmental services scheme, we support eight families in the region whom we recognize economically for their actions to preserve the environment.
